Learn how to stitch stretchy fabi The one hour course will go over the different techniques for sewing stretch fabrics-- that's t-shirts, athleisure, underwear! Knit fabrics (the stretchy stuff) requires different stitches, needles and handling. Learn the basics so you can mend or alter your leggings! You can optionally add on to your lesson with an extra hour of instruction in the various machine accessories your machine came with (for those who have a new machine) or a Project Consultation to work on something you've brought with you. PROJECT CONSULTATION - If you chose this add-on, this is for those with an idea they want to make. You will need to bring your own materials. You may also use this time to get help finding a pattern or coming up with a game plan for how to get started on your own idea. If you are bringing your own machine, please remember to bring the power cord and foot pedal. If you have the manual it came with and the accessories, please bring all of that too. DISCLAIMER: If your machine hasn't been used in a long time or hasn't been serviced in a long time, problems may arise that will not allow us to meet all the goals of your session. If your machine isn't working properly, we will use one of my studio machines. I highly recommend servicing your machine before coming in. This is a set course, with a set agenda and project. All materials will be provided, except for the Project Consultation.
Cancellation Policy
To cancel or reschedule, please contact me before 10pm the night before your session. Cancellations day-of get a 50% refund. No-shows do not get refunds. Student (or guardian if student is under 18) takes all responsibility for any injury incurred while learning to sew from Amy Brown (Jumbo Jibbles) at her studio at 1068 The Alameda, San Jose, CA, 95126 or in the student/client’s home. Activities include using hand tools, sewing machines, needles and other art tools. This contract covers previous lessons and all lessons happening from the date of first scheduled class session. Photos may be taken during class for marketing purposes. By completing this class booking, you are agreeing to these terms.
