Handsewing techniques for a 3D mushhroom
Please read before booking
Mushroom sewing class lasts 3 hours and focuses on hand-sewing. It can easily be adjusted for those with sewing skills, those with none or a mixed class. Please let me know approximate experience levels of participants. Most people should be able to finish 1-2 mushrooms, while others may make more. These small mushrooms are great as squishes, decorations, bag charms or holiday ornaments. If you are experienced on a sewing machine, you will have access. All materials are provided, but if you have fabrics you prefer please bring them. I will share my mushroom patterns and teach basic 3D concepts in shape-making. You'll leave with at least one beautiful hand-sewn mushroom. This class is for adults and accompanied minors 12-18. Basic hand sewing skills are required (threading a needle, stitching a seam, tying a knot.) I can accommodate groups up to 12 people. Class runs 3 hours. Please bring a water bottle and snack.
Cancellation Policy
To cancel or reschedule, please contact me before 10pm the night before your session. Cancellations day-of get a 50% refund. No-shows do not get refunds. Student (or guardian if student is under 18) takes all responsibility for any injury incurred while learning to sew from Amy Brown (Jumbo Jibbles) at her studio at 1068 The Alameda, San Jose, CA, 95126 or in the student/client’s home. Activities include using hand tools, sewing machines, needles and other art tools. This contract covers previous lessons and all lessons happening from the date of first scheduled class session. Photos may be taken during class for marketing purposes. By completing this class booking, you are agreeing to these terms.
