This is a class for people with a new sewing machine and an idea of what they want to make first. This class mixes the New Sewing Machine- HELP! class with a Project Consultation. The first hour you'll get acquainted with your new machine, and the second hour we'll work together to get you started on a project of your choice. Some projects can be completed in one hour*-- a tote bag, drawstring bag, zipper pouch, pillows. I will answer your questions and help you either interpret a sewing pattern or help you design something.** Before the lesson, we'll have a brief talk on the phone about what you need to purchase for your project. You will need to bring your own materials for this service. This will ensure you have what you need to get what you want out of your lesson, and I can understand your goals for the project. *I cannot guarantee a finished product by the end of the session-- everyone works at different speeds. The skills you'll learn in the first hour will give you what you need to keep working on your own. Some people prefer more skills practice, or want to use their time asking questions. How you spend the second hour is up to your preference. **Clothing projects must be from store-bought patterns. Alterations of existing clothing are limited to shortening hems or mending, as I am not an alterations specialist.
