About the event

Happy Year of the Snake! Known for its qualities of creativity and flexibility, the snake is a beautiful creature that comes in all colors. Explore the craft of scrap sculpture, using cast-away materials saved from the landfill to make something entirely new. We'll use a wrapping technique to make our snakes, as well as adding stitches, patches and beads to complete our design.

This is a free workshop happening at the beginning of my monthly Second Saturday open studio event. I will demo the project and help coach you through the steps to a completed snake. At 12pm, class will be over but you can stay and talk about art or explore the other artists that inhabit The Alameda Artworks.

If you would like to tip for my teaching, my venmo is @JumboJibbles.
