About the event
Learn how to use a sewing machine and make your own cute carrot plush! I am a teacher and a designer of soft objects, most famously carrots! I provide all the sewing machines and supplies-- you get to have fun and pick up a skill.
This class involves a one-hour lesson on the sewing machine to get you acquainted with the mechanics of machine sewing and hand sewing stitches. You will learn how to cut out a simple pattern and sew it together. And you can create a special face for your carrot.
Class runs from 1pm to 3:30pm (2.5 hours). Students should expect to leave with a finished carrot.
Machines and all materials are provided. Just bring you. If you'd like to bring your own machine you can, but it must be in working condition.
Ages 13 and up.
